Title : Selection of Samples for Machine-Learning-Based Classification Applied to Text Data in Natural Languages
Jan Zizka works as Associate Professor at the Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic. He is a graduate of Computer Science (Technical University in Brno, Czech Republic) and his PhD research applied to fuzzy logic and database systems. At the present time, Jan Zizka is engaged in research and teaching of advanced artificial intelligence, machine learning, soft computing, and data and text mining. He has participated in introducing machine-learning/artificial intelligence areas to teaching and research at Czech universities supported by many Czech and European grants. A member of AAAI, Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Computer Science & Information Technology, and International Journal of Information Sciences and Techniques, a member of editorial boards and program committees of several other international scientific journals and conferences. He is also an author and co-author of many journal and conference peer-reviewed articles, and co-editor of several books in the area of informatics. Jan Zizka's contemporary main research interests are in the sentiment/opinion semantic-analysis area using very large real-world unstructured textual data in different natural languages as well as in applying data/text-mining to various areas including business intelligence, health care, economy, and others. Jan Zizka worked at universities and research centers in several countries in the USA and EU, and is keeping on the international cooperation both inside and outside the European Union.
